Balazs ‘birs320’ Botond took up poker for the first time ten years ago and found that he had a special talent for the game as he turned pro just six months later. He has made final table appearances in all major online tournament series as well as live major events such as the WSOP, WPT, and EPT to name a few.
At his peak, Balazs ranked as high as 128th in the world in online rankings. His highlight reel consists of coming in first place at the 2014 EUREKA – No Limit Hold’em Main Event which was held in Prague.

More About Balazs
Born and raised in Budapest, Hungary, Balazs spent his teenage years as a rowing athlete while winning medals at the European and World Championship. However, as he wanted to set higher goals for himself, Balazs gave up rowing and went on to study at a university. It was after graduation while he was working for 2 years that he discovered the game that would become his main profession. With the endurance and strong work ethic from his athletic background, he quickly moved his way up to the high stakes tournaments and made final table appearances in all major online and live tournament series including the WSOP, WPT and EPT just to name a few.
Today, Balasz is sharing his knowledge and passion for the game of poker with members of his community as well as those around the world. Most recently, he has won the most prestigious yearly tournament held in Hungary, the Budapest Poker Open. When he’s away from the computer, he enjoys participating in sporting activities such as wakeboarding and squash, and also loves spending time with his family and adopted dog.
